Bookkeeper | Delta Township, MI

Salary Range: $47,000 - $67,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accurate and timely transactions.
• Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and perform monthly reconciliations.
• Prepare and process payroll, including associated tax filings and employee benefits.
• Reconcile bank and credit card statements, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
• Assist in tracking and reporting production costs, material usage, and inventory valuation.
• Generate basic financial statements (e.g., P&L, Balance Sheet) and support year-end audit preparations.
• Manage fixed asset register, including additions, disposals, and depreciation calculations.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, ERP systems) and Microsoft Excel.
• Solid understanding of cost accounting principles and inventory valuation methods.
• Demonstrated experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management.
• Ability to prepare accurate financial statements and reconcile accounts efficiently.
• Familiarity with sales tax regulations and compliance relevant to manufacturing operations.
• Prior experience in a bookkeeping role within the manufacturing sector.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with manufacturing-specific ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Epicor).
• Basic understanding of cost accounting principles (e.g., job costing, standard costing).
• Familiarity with inventory management and reconciliation processes.
• Proficiency in advanced Excel functions (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) for data analysis.
