Job Description
Our client, a leading global law firm, is seeking an eDiscovery Senior Project Manager to oversee and drive the end-to-end eDiscovery lifecycle across complex litigation matters. This role involves managing workflows from data intake through production, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget, and collaborating closely with attorneys, clients, and external vendors to develop project plans, mitigate risks, and optimize processes. The Project Manager will leverage tools like RelativityOne, manage vendor relationships and budgets, perform quality control, and advise on best practices to improve efficiency and outcomes. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in the electronic discovery process, experience in a law firm or similar environment, and strong proficiency in RelativityOne (RCA required), data analytics, and TAR, along with proven ability to manage large-scale matters and competing priorities in fast-paced settings. This is a hybrid role with offices in San Francisco, Redwood City, Los Angeles, Santa Monica, New York City, Boston, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C., with candidates in New York City or Washington, D.C. prioritized; employees are expected to be in-office three days per week.
ResponsibilitiesUnder the direction and supervision of the firm’s Director of eDiscovery, the eDiscovery Project Manager will:
- Collaborate with case teams to assess eDiscovery needs and build comprehensive project plans
- Track project progress and recommend adjustments to ensure milestones and deadlines are met
- Identify potential risks and proactively implement solutions to keep projects on track
- Leverage technology to drive efficiencies and reduce costs across matters
- Maintain detailed project trackers and ensure all stages of the eDiscovery process are documented
- Use RelativityOne to process, analyze, search, thread, batch, review, and produce documents
- Provide training and guidance to case teams on eDiscovery tools and workflows
- Analyze and report on incoming data from clients and third parties
- Review and refine document review protocols to align with eDiscovery best practices
- Monitor review progress and flag potential cost or quality concerns
- Assist with the creation of privilege logs
- Act as the primary point of contact between case teams and eDiscovery vendors
- Partner with vendors to obtain project bids
- Evaluate vendor proposals with case teams to select the best fit for each matter
- Lead kickoff calls and participate in ongoing vendor and case team meetings
- Perform detailed quality control checks on vendor deliverables, including searches and productions
- Track spend against budget and communicate any potential overages to case teams
- Escalate project issues in a timely manner and take initiative to prevent delays
- Support end-of-matter processes including evaluating database decommissioning options and ensuring proper closure in line with internal playbooks
- Recommend improvements to eDiscovery processes and internal playbooks
- Stay current on litigation support tools, updates, and evolving industry standards
Technical Skills- Strong understanding of the electronic discovery process
- Relativity Certified Administrator (RCA) required, with Relativity Analytics Specialist a plus
- Brainspace Analyst Certification required, with additional certifications preferred
- Experience with other eDiscovery tools such as Nuix, Reveal, DISCO, or similar platforms preferred
- Advanced skills in database searching, data analytics, and technology-assisted review (TAR)
- Proficiency in Adobe and Excel

Experience & Education- Experience designing workflows to support ESI review
- Hands-on experience processing, searching, threading, reviewing, and producing data in RelativityOne
- Experience managing large-scale matters including collections, reviews, and productions
- Proven experience working with vendors on pricing, budgeting, and project execution
- Bachelor’s degree
- Several years of experience in eDiscovery
- Prior experience in an AmLaw 100 law firm preferred
Flexibility- Willingness to work extended hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to travel and spend time in other office locations as needed
Expected salary for this non-exempt role is $145,000 - $165,000, commensurate with experience, training, skills, qualifications, and other market factors.
