Experienced Farm Manager job at Gpac Phoenix, AZ, US

Job Description

A Phoenix area family-owned organic farm is looking to hire an Experienced Farm Manager to oversee all aspects of their organic farming operations. This exciting opportunity is ideal for candidates who have a minimum of 10 years' experience and a proven background in longevity of employment. The company grows over 100 varieties of organic vegetables and heirloom crops.

Farm Manager Responsibilities:

* Manage and oversee 65 local acres of organically grown heirloom tomatoes, vegetables, and more
* Able to travel to New Mexico and oversee various pepper crops
* Ensure efficient operation of farm equipment and promptly address maintenance issues
* Provide strong leadership and have a full understanding of organic farming practices

Farm Manager Qualifications:

* 10+ years' experience in a farm managerial role
* Strong leadership and people management skills
* Experience in crop rotation and sustainable/organic practices
* Passion for agriculture and a commitment to fostering a supportive community
* Ensure compliance with organic certification standards
* A strong understanding of irrigation systems, equipment operations, and maintenance
* Must currently reside in the region and have a valid U.S. driver's licence
