Under the general direction of the Manager, Internal Audit Office, the Staff Management Auditor (Specialist) will perform at the advanced journey level a variety of complex audit engagements, reviews, special assignments and/or investigations, such as technical, financial, compliance and management audits, also assessment of internal controls for the Department and its programs. The responsibility may extend outside the Department to the examination of cost records of local governments, independent contractors, utility companies, and public or private organizations who have contracts or grants with the Department. The incumbent is responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating, evaluating through reporting of all assignments.
