Supervisor – Documentation/Logistics

Purpose and Scope/General Summary: We are seeking a Documentation/Logistics Supervisor to join our International Logistics Hides team!

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage a team of four (4) logistics and documentation staff, including workflow oversight, coaching, and development
• Oversee the setup and execution of shipments from the U.S., including freezer appointments, drayage, transloads, ocean bookings, and destination routing
• Manage all logistics issues, including dray outs, diversions, and changes of destination
• Ensure compliance with destination country requirements and international shipping regulations
• Develop a strong understanding of the logistics network, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to optimize flow and efficiency
• Maintain a problem-solving mindset and proactively resolve operational challenges
• Monitor team performance and drive the development and achievement of KPIs
• Partner with IT and Business Analytics teams on process improvement initiatives
• Follow up on outstanding issues and implement sustainable process improvements
• Coach and develop team members to drive performance and growth
• Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, customers, vendors, and internal departments
• Ensure the team has the tools, systems, and information needed to make informed decisions around routing, optimization, and cost management
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness
• Maintain data integrity across systems, reports, dashboards, and other tools
• Run, analyze, and resolve reports
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
• 2–5 years of professional experience; direct management experience preferred
• Experience with international shipping and logistics operations
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Experience with SAP and QlikView preferred
• Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
• Proven leadership and team development abilities
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities effectively
• Strong problem-solving, time management, and customer service skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate across teams
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and seek guidance when needed
• Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
• As a salaried position with the company, you may be required to travel at some point to other facilities, to attend Company events, or as a representative of the Company in other situations. Unless otherwise specified in this posting, the amount of travel may vary and the most qualified candidate must be willing and able to travel as business needs dictate.

The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:

• Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;
• Paid Time Off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;
• 401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule;
• Base salary range of $70,000 - $80,000;
• Incentive Pay: This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program; and

The posted salary range represents the Company’s good faith estimate of the compensation that the Company reasonably expects to pay for this role at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, qualifications, tenure, internal equity, market data, and may vary accordingly.
