Position Overview: The firm is seeking a motivated
Litigation Associate Attorney with 2 to 3 years of experience to join their team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, eager to advance their skills, and ready to handle depositions, motions, and trial preparation while engaging directly with clients.
Key Responsibilities - Meet a 1600 billable hour requirement.
- Draft and argue motions, pleadings, and discovery.
- Conduct depositions and assist in witness preparation.
- Perform legal research and prepare analyses on complex issues.
- Manage discovery, including reviewing and analyzing documents.
- Participate in mediations, hearings, and trial preparation.
- Communicate directly with clients, experts, and opposing counsel.
- Collaborate closely with partners and associates in a team-focused environment.
Qualifications - J.D. from an accredited law school and active California Bar membership.
- 2-3 years of litigation experience in a California law firm (business, commercial, or real estate litigation preferred).
- Experience entering billable time concurrent with work in a billing system.
- Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
- Courtroom experience (motions, depositions, trial prep) is a plus.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Team-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently.
Compensation - Salary Range: $140,000 - $160,000 base for 2-3 years of experience.
