We are searching for a Manufacturing Controller responsible for providing financial leadership and accounting management for our growing manufacturing division. This person will interact heavily with both plant and corporate personnel and must have a proven track record of successfully leading an accounting team.
Responsibilities
Responsible for the overall monthly close process, including reviewing and approving journal entries and account reconciliations
Provide financial information by preparing reports and provide recommendations on how to drive financial performance improvement
Advise on technical accounting matters with a specialization in manufacturing accounting
Lead special projects to improve accounting process efficiencies
Monitor bill of materials and work order accuracy
Perform inventory aging review and collaborate cross functionally to monitor inventory levels
Responsible for overseeing the accuracy of inventory balances
Perform monthly financial review variance analysis and present financials to leadership
Oversee physical inventories and cycle counts processes to ensure inventory accuracy
Review and monitor capital expenditure transactions for accuracy
Maintain/implement controls in accounting process
Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
Minimum 5 years in managing accounting teams
Minimum 7 years in Manufacturing Accounting
Strong analytic abilities and problem-solving skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Working knowledge of GAAP
Advanced Microsoft Office skills
Travel requirement – 25%
NetSuite experience preferred
QuickBooks experience preferred
System implementation experience preferred
M&A experience preferred
