Job Title: Pharmacy Technician
Duration: 7 Months (Contract with Possible Extensions)
Location: Remote (PST Preferred / Must work PST hours)
Schedule: Monday Friday | 8:00 AM 5:00 PM PST (No OT)
Pay Range: $22.00 - $24.00 Per hr. on w2.

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and patient-focused Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacy quality initiatives, specifically focused on HEDIS measures for Medicaid populations. This role plays a critical part in improving medication adherence, gap closure, and member outcomes through high-volume telephonic outreach and collaboration with providers and pharmacies.

Key Responsibilities

Pharmacy Outreach & HEDIS Support

  • Conduct high-volume outbound member outreach (40 60 calls/day) to support medication adherence initiatives
  • Work pharmacy gap reports including:
    • Single-fill medications
    • Medication adherence gaps
    • Extended day supply conversions
  • Educate members on medication usage, adherence importance, and address barriers to compliance

Care Coordination & Communication

  • Coordinate with pharmacies and providers to resolve medication-related gaps
  • Provide telephonic support to improve member satisfaction and health outcomes
  • Maintain professional communication across members, providers, and internal teams

Data Management & Reporting

  • Analyze and work from pharmacy reports and adherence metrics
  • Document all interactions and interventions accurately in multiple systems
  • Utilize tools such as Excel, Outlook, Teams, Express Scripts, and internal applications

Operational Excellence

  • Manage multiple systems simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Meet monthly productivity and quality targets aligned with HEDIS goals
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and healthcare regulations

Training

  • 1-week mandatory training (8 AM 5 PM PST)
  • Includes 1:1 shadowing
  • No time off permitted during training period

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of Pharmacy Technician experience (Retail, Hospital, or Mail Order)
  • Active Pharmacy Technician License (State-specific)
  • Strong member outreach / telephonic engagement experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and navigate multiple systems efficiently

Preferred Qualifications

  • National Certification (CPhT Pharmacy Technician Certification Board)
  • Experience with HEDIS pharmacy measures
  • Background in medication adherence programs and outreach campaigns
  • Experience working with Medicaid populations

Disqualifiers

  • Call center experience without pharmacy background
