Plastic Injection Molding Processor - PS3112530

Pay: $22 - 34/hr + benefits

Industry: Plastic injection molding

Location: Facility is based near Sumterville, FL

Schedule: Full-time / Flexible (1st & 2nd shifts available)

There is an injection molding company near the Sumterville, FL region that is in need of a skilled Process Technician to support their increasing manufacturing demands.

Responsibilities:

• Operate injection molding machines efficiently while handling and clean all tooling & equipment properly to prevent damage.
• Monitor, maintain, and recommend improvements to standard molding cycle times and part quality.
• Develop and implement a well-managed process for mold changes to optimize uptime and achieve performance objectives, continuously seeking opportunities to reduce changeover times.
• Set molds according to schedule and process requirements to meet quality standards.
• Perform quality checks on parts and complete required paperwork logs.
• Troubleshoot Injection molding robots as needed and assist maintenance personnel as needed with presses and other processing equipment.

Requirements:

• Knowledge of different plastic materials and their properties.
• Understanding of mold construction and a minimum of 2 years of hands-on injection molding manufacturing experience is required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with basic computer skills.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs, stand for long durations of time, and perform other physical tasks as required.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required; technical training or certification in injection molding is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime if needed.
