Salary: $123,000 - 163,000 per year Requirements:
- We require a bachelors degree in Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Economics, or another quantitative discipline.
- We require AWS certification such as Data Engineer Professional, Solutions Architect Professional, or an equivalent credential.
- We expect 8+ years of data engineering experience with strong expertise in enterprise ETL/ELT architecture, pipeline design, and large-scale data platform operations.
- We need expert-level SQL skills in IBM DB2 and SQL Server, including schema design, query tuning, and stored procedure administration.
- We need deep IBM DataStage expertise, including architecture, parallel job development, performance optimization, and enterprise deployments.
- We need advanced knowledge of IBM Workload Scheduler, including job stream design, dependency handling, SLA setup, and production support.
- We require advanced Oracle GoldenGate experience, including replication architecture, CDC design, and operational support.
- We require proven AWS data engineering experience in production, including S3, Glue, RDS, Redshift, Lambda, and IAM-controlled data access.
- We expect demonstrated ability to create and execute multi-year technology roadmaps and lead platform modernization initiatives.
- We prefer experience leading managed services or outsourced delivery models with accountability for SLA, CSAT, and throughput.
- We value healthcare data engineering experience across claims, clinical data, EMR, pharmacy, population health, or regulatory reporting.
- We value experience adopting modern data stack tools in enterprise environments such as Apache Airflow, dbt, Spark, Delta Lake, or similar.
- We require knowledge of HIPAA, HITRUST, CMS, and healthcare data compliance requirements.
- We prefer experience leading on-premises to cloud migrations for large enterprise data platforms.
- We value familiarity with Tableau, BusinessObjects, or SAS as downstream analytics consumers.
- We expect a background in agile delivery, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines for data engineering.
Responsibilities: - We develop, maintain, and optimize SQL-based ETL processes, stored procedures, and data transformations across DB2, SQL Server, DataStage, Collibra, and AWS.
- We define enterprise data engineering architecture and technology standards across DB2, SQL Server, IBM DataStage, IBM Workload Scheduler, Oracle GoldenGate, Collibra, and AWS.
- We build and maintain data integration workflows from source systems to analytics platforms, including validation and reconciliation controls.
- We create and support data pipelines using IBM DataStage and UNIX scripting for enterprise integration workflows.
- We oversee platform health, including capacity planning, performance benchmarking, upgrade coordination, and disaster recovery readiness in line with BCP/DR standards.
- We lead workload rationalization by identifying pipelines, stored procedures, and jobs for consolidation, retirement, or redesign.
- We assess and promote modern data engineering capabilities such as Apache Airflow, dbt, AWS Glue, and Spark in support of Project Catalyst objectives.
- We monitor pipeline health proactively, identify anomalies, and resolve data quality and availability issues within agreed SLAs.
- We support Dev, QA, and Prod environment management, including release coordination and production readiness checks.
- We assist with AWS stabilization efforts for analytics data layers following migration from on-premises infrastructure.
- We track and manage all work in ServiceNow, ensuring accurate categorization, status updates, and SLA adherence.
- We collaborate with Tableau, SAS, and BusinessObjects developers to ensure reliable data availability for reporting.
