About Sereneco

Based in Greenpoint neighborhood of Brooklyn, Sereneco is an all-day Italian influenced New American Restaurant in a light-filled, welcoming space. We are looking for talented individuals to join our team as a Front Server!

Position Summary

Be friendly, outgoing, and possess good communication skills. Position responsible for ensuring guests’ enjoyment. You should be organized, able to think and act quickly and effectively while retaining self-composure. Be guest sensitive and possess a sense of timing. Take pride in personal appearance and show dedication to your job. Display integrity and honesty in all aspects of your employment.

Additional Responsibilities

• Works as a team with all personnel in order to maintain an effective atmosphere and an efficient food and beverage service
• Works with others to keep all areas cleaned and stocked to the Company’s standards at all times
• Memorizes menus and able to talk clearly and efficiently about the menu
• Inputs orders into computer immediately, collects money from guests for drinks served and makes change
• Able to build a rapport with customers and help build clientele
• Arranges bottles and glasses to maintain an attractive display
• Complete specific side-work, as determined by management
• Retain complete knowledge of Restaurant’s food and beverage menu and preparation
• Enter and complete customers’ orders on computer system
• Clear and reset tables
• Bartending experience and a willingness to be cross-trained is a plus

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED graduate preferred
• State alcohol server license and food handler’s card may be required
• Ability to suggestively sell food and beverage items
• Ability to learn and use company computer systems
• Ability to coordinate multiple activities with attention to detail
• Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision
