The Respiratory Therapist II provides advanced respiratory care in critically ill patients, including medication administration and ventilator management, within an evaluation-and-treat framework. The RT II delivers care primarily in critical care areas, requires independent decision-making, and supports education for patients, families, and staff. The role emphasizes population-specific needs, psychosocial considerations, and professional development, with involvement in onboarding and education of new staff.

Responsibilities
- Deliver prescribed respiratory care and medications, with ventilator management, in critically ill patients.
- Assess, plan, implement, and adjust respiratory therapy according to protocols and patient response.
- Collaborate with physicians and the care team; document care and monitor patient progress.
- Educate patients and families, coordinate activities, and participate in staff development and onboarding of new employees.
- Support self-development and professional growth through participation in continuing education activities.
- Ensure safety, quality, and population-specific care in all patient interactions.

Requirements
- Active respiratory therapy licensure in GA or eligibility to practice (per Job Notes)
- Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program
- Demonstrated experience in critical care/ICU respiratory care and ventilator management
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts in a hospital setting
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to educate patients and families
