Job Description

A growing food manufacturing facility in Grand Rapids is currently seeking an experienced Production Line Lead for 2nd shift. This role is ideal for someone with experience working in a fast paced production environment who can lead and support a production team while maintaining strong attendance and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support production team members on the line
• Operate and monitor bagging or wrapping machines
• Work with cereal film or similar packaging materials
• Ensure production runs smoothly and efficiently
• Support supervisors with line organization and team communication
• Maintain quality, safety, and production standards

Qualifications

• Prior experience in food production or manufacturing environments within the food industry strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of FDA regulations, HACCP principles, GMP standards, and food safety practices
• Experience running bag machines, wrappers, or similar packaging equipment preferred
• Mechanical knowledge related to manufacturing equipment is a plus
• Experience with sanitation procedures in a food processing plant environment
• Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for quality control and inventory purposes
• Forklift certification or experience operating forklifts safely is desirable
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively
• Basic computer skills for reporting and documentation
• Strong attendance and reliability
• Ability to work in a fast paced production environment
