Anticipated Interview Dates: We anticipate holding in-person interviews beginning the week of August 10, 2026. The CalPERS Financial Office is currently seeking an Accounting Analyst to assist the Controller in managing financial processes, reporting, and general accounting tasks. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment. The Accounting Analyst will work closely with the Controller to provide analytical support, manage records, prepare reports, assist with budget preparation, and perform other day-to-day accounting tasks to support division objectives and operational goals. Key Responsibilities: Assist the Controller in the preparation of reports, presentations, and analysis. Manage, maintain, and update financial and administrative records and databases. Support the Controller in budget preparation. Identify opportunities to streamline and improve accounting and operational practices across the division. Perform a wide range of accounting tasks for the division, including recording, analyzing, and reconciling accounting transactions related to trust, fund, investment, pension, and health accounting.
