Job Overview
We are excited to announce the opening of a new Japanese fine dining restaurant and are seeking talented and experienced Bread Bakers to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will bring a genuine passion for sincere hospitality and the art of Japanese cuisine to our team and guests. This role offers an opportunity to showcase creativity in high-end bread baking while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and presentation. Bakers will be responsible for executing recipes to standard, preparing seasonal components, and ensuring every creation meets our aesthetic requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Scaling, mixing, dividing, shaping and baking of bread dough.
• Execute daily prep with precision and meet production goals.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bread station in strict compliance with NYC food safety standards.
• Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and alert management when supplies are low.
• Collaborate with the whole kitchen and FOH team to coordinate service flow and timing.
• Uphold brand standards, ensuring every dessert reflects the restaurant’s commitment to precision and elegance.

Preferred:

• Experience as a Bread Baker or Pastry Cook in a fine dining or upscale hospitality setting.
• Must demonstrate the ability to work with a sense of urgency in a dynamic and physically intensive setting
• Minimum 2 years in NYC within high-end kitchens, Michelin-starred establishments, or upscale restaurants.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to handle high-volume service and intricate prep work efficiently.
• Background in food safety and valid NYC Food Protection Certificate.
• Punctual and professional demeanor with extreme attention to detail.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required by the restaurant schedule.
