Our client, a leading organization within the manufacturing sector, is seeking a Human Resources Manager to lead and support day-to-day HR operations and employee relations in a fast-paced environment. This role serves as a key point of contact for employees and leaders, ensuring effective delivery of HR services across the business. The position works closely with senior leadership to drive compliance, engagement, and operational performance. This is a hands-on leadership role with broad exposure across HR functions and the opportunity to influence people strategy.

The Role:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations, providing guidance, coaching, and escalation support as needed
  • Oversee HR operations including benefits, payroll coordination, vacation, and employee systems
  • Maintain and ensure accuracy of employee records, driving compliance and data integrity across HR systems
  • Lead reporting and analysis on key workforce metrics including turnover, headcount, and engagement trends
  • Manage leave of absence and disability case management processes
  • Oversee training programs, certifications, and compliance requirements, ensuring audit readiness
  • Partner with payroll to review and validate changes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Lead performance management processes, including coaching leaders and supporting documentation
  • Oversee full-cycle recruitment in partnership with hiring managers, from requisition through onboarding
  • Manage onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure a strong employee experience
  • Support and drive health and safety initiatives, including reporting, training, and compliance tracking
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support HR programs, employee engagement, and internal communications
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance HR efficiency and effectiveness
  • Provide leadership and mentorship within HR-related initiatives and projects

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Minimum 5 years of progressive HR experience, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Valid Passport and ability to travel internationally
  • Demonstrated leadership capability with experience guiding HR processes or teams
  • Strong knowledge of employee relations, HR operations, and compliance frameworks
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across all levels of the organization
  • High level of discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and reporting tools
  • Experience with HRIS systems and workforce reporting platforms is an asset
  • Knowledge of US employment law and regulatory requirements; multi-jurisdictional exposure is a plus
  • Familiarity with payroll, benefits administration, and workplace safety practices preferred
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources or related field; HR designation (or in progress) is an asset
  • Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on within a dynamic environment
  • Availability to travel to Canada a minimum of 50% in the first year
