Job Summary: 

Keeps all locks in a serviceable condition by performing preventive maintenance. Maintains a neat, orderly, and easily reference system of Master Keys. Cutting keys as need per company policy. Establishes a system for storage of keys transferable from season to season. Keep par levels of parts in inventory by submitting Purchase Requests. Assist in ordering of parts for maintenance techs. You are expected to adhere to the company’s mission, vision and value statements. Be knowledgeable of the company’s management systems, policies and initiatives for Hospitality, Environmental, and Health and Safety. You have specific responsibilities within these areas and are expected to understand them

Job Responsibilities:

  • Hospitality: You must be committed to superior guest service and quality standards. As a team member of your department you play a key role ensuring the team’s success and achievement of meeting and exceeding our guests’ expectations. Our goal is to receive a minimum of 88% on our guest comment scores.
    1. Assure that all locks are operable and provide immediate response to guest room lock problems.
    2. Establish and maintain an orderly and easily referenced key inventory system. It is mandatory that this system be kept up-to-date.
    3. Assure that an adequate number of keys are on hand for guest rooms at Jackson Lake Lodge, Colter Bay Village, and Jenny Lake Lodge.
  • Environmental: The Grand Teton Lodge Company is entrusted with protecting the environment of Grand Teton National Park. As part of this mission you are responsible for carrying out our core environmental values: promote
    renewable energy, reduction of waste, protection of wildlife habitat, and environmental education. You should strive to preserve, protect and inspire your team members and our guests to join in this effort.
  • Health and Safety: You are responsible for working in a safe and healthy manner. You must be knowledgeable of the company’s work safe policies and procedures.
    1. Ensure that all work is performed in a safe manner in a safe environment.
    2. Observe all requirements for the GTLC Hazard Communication Program
    3. Attend training and observe all applicable OSHA and other regulatory compliance programs and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as required by Human Resources and the EH&S office. Programs include, but are not limited to: permit-required confined spaces; respiratory protection; blood borne pathogens; personal protective equipment (PPE); hearing conservation; lockout-tagout; spill prevention, control, and countermeasure plan; drivers safety; and, general proper operation of machinery and equipment.
    4. Use all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as instructed by supervisor.

  • NPS/Community Relations: You must be committed to working in partnership with the National Park Service and community organizations to enhance our guests’ experiences. Our goal is to receive only fours and fives on the five point rating scale used by NPS.
  • Administrative Duties: CMMS and Key Master data

Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Prior locksmith experience
  • 3 years Supervisory Experience
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
  • Computer Skills Typing
  • Organizational skills
  • Capable of handling moderately strenuous activities

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of MicroMain or other computerized maintenance program
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Excel and Outlook
  • Computer typing skills
