Job Description
Our client, a leading international law firm, is seeking a Manager, eDiscovery Technology to join its growing Practice Solutions team. This individual will partner closely with attorneys and litigation teams to provide strategic guidance on eDiscovery workflows, technology solutions, data management, and legal technology initiatives. The role offers significant visibility across the firm, a highly collaborative environment, and the opportunity to help shape a rapidly expanding function. Strong consultative skills, stakeholder management experience, and a passion for solving complex litigation technology challenges are essential. New York, NY is the preferred location and follows a hybrid schedule of approximately two days per week in the office. Candidates located near the firm's offices in Washington, DC, Boston, MA, Houston, TX, Palo Alto, CA, San Francisco, CA, or Los Angeles, CA will also be considered, with similar hybrid flexibility. Remote candidates within commuting distance of an office may be considered as a final option and should be willing to attend occasional in-person meetings.
Responsibilities- Partner with attorneys, litigation support professionals, and business stakeholders on eDiscovery strategy
- Provide guidance throughout the EDRM lifecycle including collection, processing, review, production, and analytics
- Advise legal teams on technology solutions, workflows, and defensible discovery practices
- Manage and support eDiscovery platforms and related technologies
- Collaborate with vendors and internal teams on project execution and technology initiatives
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, and client service delivery
- Serve as a trusted consultant to attorneys by translating business needs into practical technology solutions
- Assist with reporting, metrics, and operational initiatives within the Practice Solutions team
- Support implementation and adoption of new legal technology tools
- Contribute to team growth, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement efforts
Qualifications- Experience managing eDiscovery projects and technology solutions in a law firm, consulting, or legal services environment
- Strong understanding of the EDRM and discovery best practices
- Experience working directly with attorneys and legal teams
- Ability to assess requirements, ask thoughtful questions, and provide strategic recommendations
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Experience with Relativity or comparable eDiscovery platforms
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Consultative mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Python or scripting experience is highly desirable
Education & Experience- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
- Several years of experience supporting eDiscovery operations, litigation support, or legal technology functions
- Prior experience in a law firm or professional services environment preferred
- Experience leading projects and collaborating across multiple stakeholder groups preferred
Expected salary for this exempt role is $150,000 - $175,000, commensurate with experience, training, skills, qualifications, and other market factors.
