Materials Manager | Delta Township, MI

Salary Range: $79,000 - $119,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement material management strategies to optimize inventory levels and reduce costs.
• Oversee the planning, procurement, storage, and distribution of raw materials and finished goods.
• Manage supplier relationships, including performance evaluation, contract negotiation, and dispute resolution.
• Utilize ERP/MRP systems to forecast material demand, schedule production, and track inventory.
• Lead and mentor the materials team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant quality standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Drive initiatives to improve material flow, reduce lead times, and enhance supply chain reliability.

Recommended Qualifications

• Minimum 5-7 years of progressive experience in materials management, supply chain, or procurement within a manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for inventory control, forecasting, and production planning.
• Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles, inventory optimization techniques, and demand planning strategies.
• Demonstrated leadership ability in managing teams, fostering supplier relationships, and driving process improvements.

Bonus Qualifications

• APICS CPIM or CSCP certification.
• Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification.
• Experience with advanced ERP modules (e.g., S&OP, WMS integration).
• Proficiency in data analytics and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
